My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

I love the reflections in this and the odd mix of rustic stuff and faux-rustic stuff. Is faux-rustic a new genre? If so, should it be spelled faux-rustique? Just wondering, as that's something that would go over really big in Chicago. I rather like the combination of elements in here: the glass, the wood, the ceramic (kinda the wrong sort of ceramic for the wood, or maybe it's just too "modern" and not decorated in a rustic manner with hand applied glazes and such.) I do like the fusion, however, and the oddly science fictional feel this has. It makes me think of something I'd see in a George Lucas produced movie. This is a wonderful image! And I laughed aloud at what you'd said about defenestration; it is the Prague municipal sport! If there are going to be mysterious circumstances, it will involve a window, a person, and gravity...they're just careful to keep dung heaps away from all conveniently deadly patches of ground beneath conveniently high castle windows. (According to legend, one of the first free-fall participants in an early murder-by-window incident, the said victim was miraculously saved when he belly-flopped, or something like that, in a dung heap. It saved his life.) I am also pleased to see that the window featured in this photo (a gorgeous photo, by the way) seems to be sufficiently defenestration-proof.

Its pictures like this that make me wish I'd kept my mother's kitchen appliances. That mixer has got to be at least $400. An attractive display. The reflection takes on an almost menacing feel as it appears about to overwhelm the installation.

It might well citify a country kitchen...if they have room for that stuff! Nice shot Tara!

A superb photo. I'm not keen on kitchens that look like they belong in hotels. In fact it makes me want to have no two pieces of crockery that match..

The window composition is nice, but the reflections...they are the icing on the cake! Thinking about icing...hmmmm, a nice bit of coffee cake would sure taste good about now:)

Lots of cash reflecting there in the window! I love that store, but not being a cook it's all way beyond my needs. The subliminal music makes me want it, though. Beautiful capture!!

Wonderful wares Tara but have to agree with Jeff - does it only come in white these days??

My 88yr old mother has a mixer almost identical to the one in the window. She got it from her mother's estate. It is older than me [66] and still works perfectly. I remember using it as a child and teen to mix the "Mashed" potatos for dinner.

Wonderful reflective capture Tara!! The mixer is just like the one my Wife owns and when I see it I know I'm in for a treat. LOL!

Goodness me what a great place, unlike my honey, I love to cook, this is where you would have a very tough time getting me away from. I'd want it all :)

A really fun and detailed shot, Tara! I love the clean whites of the plates contrasting with the woodwork – or at least wood tones of the table.

I love the attitude how everything in this window is placed. Especially the open drawer says a lot. An interesting pic, in many ways, Tara.

Contrary to most, I do love the beautiful clean, white crockery with the plain linen on the sideboard? or buffet? or credenza? - anyway, I have also several baskets like this instead of cupboard doors and drawers in my kitchen, and your image is just so eye-catching attractive and a sight to behold for drooling and drooling and more drooling - did I mention ... very cool Tara, BB
