Description
Not sure if there's anything special to say about this image. I was trying some new textures set up similiar to the last, and playing with some of the newly aquired models I recieved.
Both models are Zakua's. The NovaCat on the left and the MadCat Mark II on the right are both based off of the game MechWarrior4 which is in turn based off of the BattleTech universe.
All else is native to Vue. I did play with the snow texture to make it brighter. In bright sun, snow is enough to blind you.

Really great image, Some tracks from the mechs would make it first class.

Ah yes, now I remember I wanted to say something. I TRIED to do tracks int he snow with image but it wouldn't work. Everytime I set up a boolean objext a large tear would form on the image. It didn't make any sense. Instead I did mounds around the feet to make it look like they were there for a little while.

Great rendering and composition. I love snow-texture.The snow reflection and bump-function are excellent. I think it would be really hard to adjust those foot position on the mounds. I guess the NovaCat for middle range and the MadCat for long range. I wanna see the third machine for close range battle. It is selfish imagination.
WhiteFeather
These are both typically longer range mechs and both typically thought of as snipers. However, with the type of rule set you play MW4 and how you load out the mech will vary their roll. The MadCat MKII is capable of some great short range configs.

It is a very nice image. I like this mechs and all composition.

Footprints? Instead of Booleans, why not just a negative bump map?
WhiteFeather
Size and alining issues mostly. At a distance that can work, but i haven't found a very accurate way to do it otherwise.
