Description
I posted a pit stop for the tours people will stop at. they will pay $2.50 a coke if you a lady and $3.00 if you a man. that happen to me at one of these places. Here you buy a coke for about $0.80 not even a dollar. So always go to where the locals go.
my guide is the man in the strip shirt wainting in line to buy something.
not on the far left some baby chickens in a cage. i did not get a shot of them good but the guide told me you buy the babies and raise them up and kill them and eat them. it cheaper this way down there. He knows some people he goes to and buy the chickens grown and kill them and he brings it home for his wife to cook.

Cool shot Jock! There is always that way! If you go to places that the tour's people recomend to you, you always will get overcharged! There is some money under the table for the tour owners! So you were very clever by going to local's stores.

When I ordered the concrete blocks to build my greenhouse they didn't know I was a woman till I used my credit card. The man told me that if the person I placed the order with had known I wasn't a man he would not have let me argue the price down!

other ... countries, other customs ... life is tough out there, which may explain these exorbitant prices and sexism ... it is true that the guide 'for tourists' royalties on key customers that it takes, sometimes as simple discounts on purchases! This shop is like a hole in the wall dressed in a minimum of comfort!
