I really like that this bird is perfectly clear against the background blur Pete! You must've been tracking it with the camera when you took the shot - looks great!

Tracking it like a robot but can't get near them-Will use cam net when weather warmer and then picture them all to death

Agree...small but you captured the colors of his plummage very well. Were you using your 400mm or something smaller?

hm.... I am in doubt wether not-so-good is better than nothing; specially when zoomed one can see that the eye ( allthough golden) isn't good captured

It is good to show bad image's as well as the good-Some people believe that some people don't do bad image's but sadly i do lot's and lot's of bad one's

it is much easier to take an unacceptable capture than a good one. some times things does not work the way we wish. I think as Bill said the detail on the duck are outstanding

It is anyway a special capture, because the subject is so sharp and the background blurred, that's very good, Pete.

Zoom worked well for me an a excellent in flight capture!
