This is the very elegant Swan Car, and it inspired me to do a whimsical image. Toucan Sam is a bit of a Rogue I think anyway. The Swan car is loosely based on a real car that was built in 1910 for an eccentric Scotsman living in India. The car had several unique features such as a pipe organ in the backseat, hot steam expelled from the swan beak to clear the crowds on the street and the car pooped a yogurt-like substance. The car was eventually declared a menace and was banned from public streets. The Marajah brought it for his personal use and in the 1980’s was donated to a car museum in the Netherlands. The Car had an interesting communication system with the Chauffeur-the passengers dialled where they wanted to go, like left or home etc and it responded on the drivers dial.
