Computer geek extarodinaire, I love to tinker with gadgets and tech items to get them to do what I want. I'm either logically artistic or artisically logical. I'm also rude, crude, semi-barbaric, socially unacceptable, and totally psychotic. On the bright side - I am potentially harmless. I'm currently trying to write some short stories about the fae as well as a novel on those same fae as well as two other novels. The programs I have for photo and image editing are: Photoimpact from Ulead, Adobe Photoshop 7 and Corel Paint Shop Pro 2X. Recently I've added DAZ Studios as well as Terragen, Blender and Google Sketch to my list of programs crowding my hard-drive. All this and much more on an old Pentium III 450 with 396 Megs of memory and operating Windows XP. It does get interesting at time.As of December 26, 2008, I have added Vue 7 Pioneer to my list of reason of why I'm going insane.
As of January 2010 I upgraded to a new HP 2 dual core processor with 6 gigs onboard mem with 4 gig powerboost and 2.07 terabytes of Hard drivesMy email is faemike55@gmail.com

Jay-el-Jay
Isn't it something how such a tiny thing can cause such a problem. At least you were able to get it fixed and you have transportation again.
jendellas
I cycle too :o) Wonder where you picked that up?? x
Tholian
Last blow I had on my car something (never discovered what) punched a hole in a steel-belted radial tire big enough to push a pencil into that would fall out if you let go of it. Amazing that you picked up that wire at all. Glad you got it fixed.
SidheRoseGraphics
Bummer about that but glad it could be fixed! As Jay-el-Jay said, you wouldn't think such a tiny little wire would cause a flat like that. Where are these wires coming from if a 'lot of bikes' are getting flats from them?
bakapo
I'm glad you are ok and it didn't make you fall off the bike.
AZBO
Nothing worse than when a flat tyre let's you down
Radar_rad-dude
So perhaps there is some evil person or persons out there that is scattering these small wires around where bicycles are ridden? Sounds like something some scum sucking pigdog would do for kicks! Here in AZ we have a weed that thrives everywhere and produced a thorn right after the plant pops out of the ground that can penetrate any bicycle tire. I have resorted to putting the tire sludge in my tires and have been able to stay ahead of the flat tires that way. I hope you don't have anymore incidents like this. What a bummer. Great series of photos though.

Sorry for all the troubles you have Mike, but glad they are resolved. Hope the reason someone running around poking these wires in bike tires, that would be bad

I've only drove are new Volvo once.We had a little CTS Caddy that I use to love to drive. Just in a small town near us. My eyes don't move up or to the sides. I have to turn my head instead. I just feel it was time to give it up. Glad all turned out well for you.

It doesn't have to be big to stop you!
wysiwig
At least the pain didn't last long. How does something that small even puncture a tire?
brycek

sometimes it's the smallest of things that can go wrong which cause us the most problems.... eh?
mickeyrony
Bikes or car when something wroung in it it was alway bad moment to pass Mike . Hope all is ok now ((5++))
RodS
Looks like a mystery to be solved with those wires, Mike. Good job with the cropping and resizing on this! Sometimes driving a car scares the snot out of me, too – unfortunately I live 26 miles away from work, so a bike would be a little bit impractical for me. Especially with all the snow we have on the ground now! LOL
angelafair
Glad it's all good now! Sucks not having transpertation!
danapommet
I am very happy that the problem is solved and rectified Mike. Nice presentation!
