It’s 2013, where is my flying car? Growing up in the 50’s and 60’s we were promised a super hi tech world by 1990 or the turn of the century at the latest. While we don’t live in a “Jetson.s” world, we are still pretty hi tech. Too bad that people haven’t grown at the same pace as technology. While we have made progress in race relations, for some the old hatreds are just beneath the surface. Why am I saying this? The KKK is going to have a rally here in Memphis Tennessee. City officials and civic groups have tried to prevent the bastards from coming here but there is no legal way to stop them. However, the Chief of Police, whose office issues parade permits, has found a way to pull their teeth. Citing security reasons and the Patriot Act, he can limit what they can do. “No masks and no guns”. Carry permits will not be honored at or near the rally site. Everyone is hoping that the Klan won’t come if they have to show their faces. An anti Klan rally is being organized, and to be held across the street. My wife and I don’t go to protests or marches, but if the Klan shows up we will be there to protest. There is no room for the bastards in today’s society.
