I.R.S or iris, they are looking at you. Abolish the I.R.S., fire all the bastards. The answer is so simple, a flat tax, paid by individuals and corporations alike. Say 10%, or whatever works out to be fair. No exemptions, no “off shore” accounts. People living at or below poverty level would not pay taxes. The details could be worked out if we could find a way to keep the corporations from paying off congress. I am old enough to remember Watergate. Nixon using the I.R.S. on his “enemies list” was what finally drove him from office. This scandal is going deep before it is over, only the tip of the iceberg now. It may cost Obama his job also, or render the rest of is term irrelevant. The point is this: After Watergate there was a big push to abolish or at least restrain the I.R.S.’s power. Never happened. They are back bigger and more powerful then ever. It is time for the people to put so much pressure on Washington that they have to act this time. Just a thought.
