Description
Taken on a hike yesterday near Applegate Lake, on a trail called Prospector's Loop. Two madrones whose branches have become entangled. I've noticed that this often happens with madrones. Sometimes the branches of separate trees even fuse with each other, as has happened here...

A striking view. You did a great job. I've seen a number of madrones in this sort of configuration but when I look through the viewfinder it never looks this good:)

I didn't realize that could happen! Very cool shot. I'll have to keep a closer eye out for this sort of thing. We have 'em here (although they're called Madrona in the northern part of their range for some reason) and they're one of my favorite trees. I guess I don't pay very good attention, huh? :P

They must be very social trees...I love how they tangle like this. Beautiful shot!

Excellent shot Claude. These type of images say "Photographer". How many people would just pass this by?

Very neat shot! I have heard that Indians grafted trees together like that to indicate certain things to each other.
