Description

The Airshow season is about to kick off again, and Duxford is booked. Rob is busy dusting the spare house for me to stay in and my camera is down at The Plant for it's annual service. I'm sure this needs no introduction.....The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight's Avro Lancaster 'City of Lincoln', taken at last years Flying Legends. Content Advisory.....Tomorrows image may shock you! as I've said I took my camera to The Plant for a service. The female staff have been complaining about the state of their shower room for a while now and I've decided it needs renovating. It was late when I arrived and I thought everyone had gone home. I was just getting a couple of photo's for design reference when Betty stepped out of the shower. Betty works in the drawing office and fortunately she's no slip of a girl, she's 'been around the block' if you know what I mean. After we had both composed ourselves we had a laugh about it, I showed Betty the photo and SHE suggested it be added to the ongoing saga of The Plant, after all, why should DVK be the only pin-up? So there you have it, it will be 'tagged' but this Content Advisory is for anyone who may look in for a cheap thrill......Betty is 83....see you tomorrow ?

Damn!!!! I thought we were gonna get a render of Carly Simon. Still this is just as good mate :) Superb image of this fine aircraft. Look forward to seeing 'Glam Gran' Betty stealing DVK's thunder... I just hope Rob can take it :)

Well news on the 'City Of Lincoln', it has a new nose art scheme for this year! So I plan to not be fiddling around with camera setting this time and miss them, and get some shots! lol Just leave the bugger on 'Auto' always best it seems, and faster shots as well... lol Anyway, not sure about your pin up but I'm game for a laugh mate! lol Top aircraft shot.. Well take, better than I got! Rob

Have never seen one alive and in the skin... Super shot. Am big time jealous about the airshow quality over your way.

Ooooh! Thanks for this beauty! I expect to see more in the near future. As for the old pin-up, well, that's going to be interesting, considering your "fair" warning (or unfair, as you've given it all away already!). Big chuckle. Looking foreward to your next pose (and I'm sure it ain't a Tigger Tank!). :-)

What a great shot! It's far more impressive than our lonely nose section.

Awesome shot, love the dramatic angle. And of course, love the Lanc! UVDan - we've got one still flying here in Canada (based near Toronto), although she's almost due for an engine overhaul which may ground her for a while, if they can't raise enough funds.
