Description

A grassy overlook on a peaceful lake. Not inspired by any particular locale, just an idyllic sunset. SasLite for the grass; Hypervoxels 3.0 for the trees; SkyTracer2 for the sky; and everything else done with procedural textures and null reference objects. Reflection blur (25%) was used on the water, and with low anti-aliasing at 1024x768 resolution, it totaled 12hrs 5 minutes render time on a 400mhz G3. If anyone out there knows of a plugin that does reflection blur faster than the built-in plug, please tell me! (-:

Good Scene, good compositing! Grass looks very real! I think, the Lightning needs some improvement! Tip: Get the Forest Plugin from Flay.com (much faster and better looking than this trees)!!!!!!!!! Good Work!

Great scene. I particularly like the grass you've got in the foreground. Have you tried adjusting the ray recursion limit when you raytrace your reflections? The default is 16, you might be able to get away with 3 since your reflection blur is pretty high. Again, very well done. :o)
