Description

Went to downtown Long Beach CA. last night for the arrival of the ship The Queen Elizabeth which is the sister ship of the local resident the Queen Mary. The Queen Elizabeth was met with much fanfare and celebration. Music on board the Queen Mary and blasting ship horns and fireworks. It's the first time I have ever attempted to photograph fireworks, so it was a learning experience for me. Was quite a nice time there next to the water. This shot is at the finale of the fireworks they shot off after the arrival of the sister ship. Being born and raised in Long Beach CA. (with the Queen Mary RMS docking in Long Beach CA in the year of my birth, 1967), it has always had a place in my heart. Thanks for looking and any comments. -Bruce

Great shot ,I agree Its a steep learning curve shooting fireworks but you seem to have it sorted. I find a little dodging and burning in processing helps but don't over do it.
