My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

I like the way you framed the one in the front so that it looks like it's coming out of the picture. Wonderful capture.
pimanjc
very well framed.

Beautiful, Tara. When I was a kid in San Diego County I loved to see these bloom after a spring rain. Everyone should see this in full view, the color saturation and sharpness is much nicer.

Beautiful composition, but on my monitor, the initial version actually looks brighter & more vivid than the zoomed version...

A sight to behold - I am entranced ... It's my kind of eye candy, I have never ever seen yellow poppies, (believe it or not) in 'real life' - maybe I need to get out more often ;P love the POV and composition Tara, BB

sunshine always catches my attention as the smiles it seems to create with a bit of spunk...warm hugs, Linda Kaye

Beautiful impression of Summer.Thank you Tara for that!

I love their buttery color and the fact that they look like really nice dresses, turned upside down. I wonder just how much of the floral world influences the fashion world. Eh, not enough, I'd say, but this would be a great place to start. There's something inherently right about poppies. I love the way these just seem to go on forever...well...at least as far as where the water starts. I love the close-up-and-personal POV. These look like really social poppies.

I have to agree with blondeblur, "A sight to behold - I am entranced ... It's my kind of eye candy...". I remember these well! Nice job on these blooms hon:*
