Neiwil led his 'guest' downstairs, and made a 'brew'. The day just didn't start right until you'd had the first mug of warm ale.Threadbolt removed his wings and layed them on the table and continued "French!!?, certainly not....I'm half Scandinavian, half English, and half Irish on my Fathers side". Neiwil interrupted...."and no Eagle....or Shitehawk "?.Threadbolt frowned, "you mean the flying 'thing', that's all me! It's early days yet, the flyings coming along ok.....it's just the landings.....people that know me call me 'Tailspin', because I always seem to end up nose down in the mud." Neiwil smiled "Tailspin ?...well I prefer that to Threadbolt ! so Tailspin it is". Tailspin drained his mug and asked "what about you, what do you do?".Neiwil scratched his chin " well....I make....stuff ". Tailspin was curious, leaning forward he asked " what kind of ' stuff ' and for whom ?", Neiwil thought for a moment. " well, nothing in particular, I just get an idea and build it, and when it's built people want it. It goes down to the Duck Pond, gets loaded onto the ship 'Gossamer Interweb' and it's shipped all over the known world, and some bits that aren't known as well..." Tailspin was impressed.."you must be some kind of magician, but wouldn't it be easier to just magic up the money and save all the hard work ?" Neiwil scratched his chin again and said "oh, I don't charge for any of it....it's all free!" Tailspin was less impressed " you must be some kind of idiot !" he said. There was a pronounced silence.....that's s,i,l,e,n,c,e...pronounced 'silence' and then Neiwil said " Look, I want you to come down to the Inventorium, my workshop, there's a job if you want it, I have an idea...I just need you to explain how this 'flying malarky' works. First, I need to nip upstairs for a pee, just don't stick your head out the front door for a minute". Tailspin snorted, "do you go upstairs every time you want a pee? that'll never catch on". Neiwil replied " well normally I'd just pee in my mug, but that doesn't seem appropriate in front of company". Tailspin's face was a picture of disgust, " you pee in the same mug that you drink out of ?, that's gross !" Neiwil looked shocked " certainly not, that would be unhygienic!....I usually pee in the one you've got, I don't often have company, which reminds me, were are my manners, would you like a refill? Tailspin waved his hand dismissively " no! no! I'm fine....honest " he placed the mug on the table and pushed it to arms length.Neiwil went upstairs and returned a minute later with his buxom redheaded bedmate, she was rubbing the top of her thigh."are you alright ?" Tailspin enquired," when you landed on me, you prodded me with 'something hard'...it drew blood!" the redhead replied. Tailspin with great sympathy said " I am truly sorry to have blemished so fair a skin m'lady ". As the redhead walked out of the door she looked back over her shoulder and said in a reassuring voice " fear not good sir, for t'was naught but a small prick". Tailspin was crestfallen, Neiwil slapped him on the back and said "come on, I'll show you the town on the way to the Inventorium "..............
