My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

So peaceful. It's beautiful. I can imagine a little fire, friends sitting around on logs, laughing and talking. A perfect possible place.

This is a great pic but it looks like the detail of the sunlight hitting the pilings got a little distorted somewhere in the process of posting. I am sure it is still in the original file. It is frustrating sometime to not see the quality you captured not transferred to a post. I am all for less post and bigger files to get the quality a photography gallery deserves!

I love this and I have to say I need to be out thataway. I'm actually looking at job possibilities, since life in Flatland is making me all itchy and scratchy and...well...a change of scene would be beneficial. But anyway, enough of that...I love this mood piece. It's a visual tone poem that makes me think of Andrei Tarkovsky (the Soviet era director responsible for "Solaris" and lots of other brilliant films that involve lots of water.) This has that mood. It's visual, but most of the significance here is something purely emotional and so it makes the perfect gift...partly submerged pilings are such a marvel! And just look at that light! This is very enough good! (Guess who would say that?) This is also a perfect dedication and a NICE reminder that I have to catch up on viewing the birthday boy's gallery!
