Description

Just re-viewed some episodes of "Game of Thrones" 1, and got inspired to make this, loosely inspired by a view of the "Red Keep" - a good chance to use my favorite castle from C3D :) Vue render, DAZ Studio, Photoshop. Items from DAZ and Cornucopia 3D - and myself. Thanks for viewing, comments etc. welcome and appreciated. Have a nice holiday - Lars

Gorgeous. I love the realism and still a bit of a painterly feel to this as well (grand master, mind you). The subtle placement of the dragon is great.

Yea, GoT does inspire, cannot wait till tonight's season premiere!! Even though I've read up to "A Dance With Dragons" I enjoy the show immensely. Wonderful image, I love the angle, as if you are standing there looking up.

Fantastic image based on a great series...you've definitely captured the feel of the show right down to the dragon in the tree, although this must be one of the rare sunny days that we see little of in the episodes! Nicely done all around...especially the lighting!

Beautiful art work with a nice painted feel to it and lots of lovely small details to keep you looking. Just started reading Game of Thrones myself to find out what all the hype is about but not got very far yet and I hate watching adaptations until I've read the book(s) so its going to be a while before I catch up with the rest of the world on this...

Once again, your design and texturing of trees is wonderful. The willows are spot on. One other aspect that I always like in your work (aside from the joy of its naturalistic complexity) is the sense of distance in a scene. The diminishment of colour to show distance, as well as the colour of the lighting itself, is one of the greatest challenges in 3D realism. It seems to me that either you put a lot of work into getting it right, or you have a natural feel for it. (Truthfully I suspect the latter.) I sometimes wander around in an online programme called "Second Life", which if you haven't heard of it, is sort of a virtual world. People make items for sail (like trees, bridges, castles etc) and I think you would make an absolute mountain of money in it!

So beautifully done. Your visions have the ability to pull me in to your scenes as if they are the reality. Wonderful foliage and distance work.
