Description

This is the new scar from the operation. I added contrast so it could be seen better on here. Yes, it is as sore as it looks, but Jane is taking good care of me. Thank you all for the concern you've shown. I'm very grateful to have such friends, and that the problem was caught and treated before it was too late. Picture by Jane with her little digital camera!

Ouch, but I think Crunch is right, the scar will not be so bad once it fades to that silvery stage. You might try some Mederma on it, that stuff works wonders to make them fade almost away. I'm glad you are okay now, Seth!

to be honest, I hope it doesn't fad too much.. It is a prize in a fairly large collection of scars and would be a shame to lose it. Just another path along the map of life as far as I am concerned. They put a bovine patch over the artery, so now when some-one says i'm full of bull, they will be partially right...LOL.

I think it will be a magnificent scar. It is a reminder of how lucky you are to be alive. I have a friend that had 100% blockage several years ago and was told to go home and wait to have a stroke and die. Luckily she found another surgeon and they were able to fix her up. Ray's leg bypass scar runs from the middle of his thigh to the middle of his calf. We're thinking of having a train tattooed on it. I'm just so thankful that you are alive and getting better every day. Happy Easter!

Like your attitude towards your scars Seth; they mark a passage in life and have always been prized by warriors past. That bull better have been pretty tough if it is gonna share space with you.

Aggh, I hate gettin Cut, a buddy of mine has somethin similar, from just below the ear and runs down past the Clavicle(arterial graft)...me, my Chest looks it was used for Welding Practice. It's better to have Scars and be around to see them than the alternative of Not being around at all. Peace

Oh course you wear your scars proudly - each one tells a tale from your life and you are a warrior soul. It really doesn't look too bad for as recent as it is. Just glad they were able to do this for you Seth - and that you have Jane to take care of you and feed you chicken soup ;)

Seth loves his scars so hopefully it won't disappear or fade too much! He has the attitude of a Viking. ;) I'm just so glad we got it done in time to avoid any major strokes, and the surgery went well. I'm his nurse--healing with love! Jane
