I am guessing that this is part of an angel figure. It has beautiful shape. I hope the [alge] growing on it doens't permanently damage the figure. Excellent POV and capture. Thanks for sharing. Do you have additional images of this figure? I would love to see them as well as the background where they are located.

A beautiful figure. I hope someone restores it. I look at statues like this and I think about the artist that put so much time and love in to the piece. That artist is probably gone now. But I'm betting they hoped this would be their immortality.

Pictures like this always remind me of Shakespeare's 'Cymbeline', Golden lads and girls all must,As chimney-sweepers, come to dust. This is very fine work and looks personal as if it was done from a model. This is a wonderful image. Excellent choice on the composition.

Wonderful to see time's improvement to a mere mortal's creation. Like a newly found ancient coin, its value would diminish if restored.

Interesting to read all the thoughts about the lichen. Traffic fumes will damage her much more quickly, especially if she is Hamstone. A superb composition. She looks content and dignified even with her facial decoration.

This is pure nature doing her thing and I think it looks wonderful as it is. You and I know that traffic fumes won't affect it, super shot Alan.
