Description

More from St Marys churchyard, Wambrook. Apologies for lack of comments lately but i've been having some computer glitches recently, hopefully all ironed out now with a bit of help from the younger and more computer literate family members

Looks like it needs a bit of attention but it looks good for being so old, 113 years!

I didn't help to bury that one Alan but have buried a few in that churchyard. Nice shot.

There is a fine line between tidying up or destroying the habitat. We have a churchyard locally which won the best wildlife friendly award for the diocese, but you can still read all the stones ok. Conversely I once caught someone using some ancient Paraquat in another local churchyard which they might as well concrete over.

It's amazing to me that Thomas would have never guessed that the image of his tombstone would have been beamed around the entire world on a thing called a pooter!

Its a great image. I can't help but wonder who Thomas Davy James was. Does anyone still remember him, as part of a family tree perhaps?
