Description

The wonderfully named Catbells, a favourite fell for walking of ours. That was many years ago when it was a morning stroll. Now I get out of breath looking at it! It was a bit of a slog up the slope, from right to left was the usual way up. The view was well worth it, over Derwent water and the Newlands valley. The last time we climbed it the wind was so strong you stooped very low on the summit be avoid being blown over!

A well composed shot, my friend. Beautiful, peaceful and I'm sure still 'zip-you-jacket-up-tight' cold. We've seen the sun the last two days up here in Glasgow but we expect the snow, still lying in the hills, to return shortly ;o) Warm regards, John.
