Description
So title because my boys thought the hill on the left was like a sleeping dragon. It's head resting half submerged on the bottom of the lake. They where just 6 and 8 years old then. Now in there 30's, how time passes!
Taken from the same spot as an earlier post. The road runs parallel to Aira beck. The road we came down the very first time we visited Cumbria. Hence the naming, upon viewing this for the first time as boys. Then boys see dragons and dinosaurs everywhere.

Children are particularly good at seeing shapes in mountains, clouds, rocks, etc., though adults can certainly retain this ability & Da Vinci used it for artistic inspiration. It even has a name - Pareidolia, which Wikipedia defines as "...a psychological phenomenon involving a vague and random stimulus (often an image or sound) being perceived as significant. Common examples include seeing images of animals or faces in clouds, the man in the moon or the Moon rabbit, and hearing hidden messages on records when played in reverse.". On a trip to Death Valley many years ago, I found a small rock that looked exactly like Shakespeare. Kept it for many years, but sadly lost track of it...
