Description
A large mushroom growing upside down under a thick branch. And, as a bonus, it's got a green wig. Still on the Clackamas hike, probably just one or two more from that afternoon before moving on...

Almost looks like a piece of bread hanging there. Nice shot!

Ha, UVDan may be closer than he thinks, as bread is made with yeast, and yeast are fungi, as is this mushroom. Sorry, could not resist the geek. What I really like here is the fantastic colors and the deep saturation you have given them. The contrast of the emerald green moss and the red and orange fungi is very striking. Of course the unexpected growth is also intriguing . Fine capture.

I thought at first it was the bottom part of an old sneaker some attached to the limb. A fun photo. Good eye!

It could be a rejected meal by Mc Donalds. It could even be an improvement! Well spotted and taken. Thanks for info on my last post too!

What a fascinating find! I love the almost foamy texture of the fungus itself, as well as all the colours: the red of the skin, the green "wig"... wonderful shot!
