I can only do representative samples, which makes choosing hard...so know that what I don't comment on isn't any 'less' to me, it's just that I have to choose from among so many. But upfront, your photography in the last year has become immensely expressive, nuanced and rich, and has a bloom about it---just like they say of wines---a bouquet that has become all your own, and it's sumptuous. Good example here. Overall, it's silken, and yet you have rich details everywhere. The sky and mountains are velveteen, brushed with hints of pinks and turquoise blues, and the clouds blend so subtly into the sky. (This is beginning to sound like a pitch from a waiter, about the 'specials'---sorry! Don't mean it that way, I'm just trying to verbalize the experience.) Whether you get this gentle 'blend' through settings, postwork or both ultimately doesn't matter to the viewer, because the overall vision is sumptuous and subtle and rare. Sunsets have always been rare things even though they happen everyday, I can't think of a better word. A fine eye will capture its rareness, its 'moment' (you do, here). There's a reddish feel throughout---in the trees, the wall along the water (it looks like piled lumber, but I can't say since I'm not close enough), in the tones throughout the boats and their reflections, right along the horizon...The masts are luminous, they stand out but softly, as do the lines of the roof structure on the left (whatever that is) and a few other structures on the shore. And the mountains are powerful but soft, as much a part of the sky as of the land. All of a vision, single, soft and all-present, a beautiful piece of photographic silk, and presented with love...
