Great Horned Owl a gentleman had as a companion yesterday at a medieval faire. He was kind enough to pause so I could get a few shots. The gorgeous bird even let folks touch it--gently--and a little toddler was amazed at how gentle and soft the owl was despite its appearance. I cropped the child out of the photo except for her hand due to the common sense logic of it being just not cool to post photos of children on the internet if you are not legally responsible for those children. Aside from the crop, I didn't retouch the image. Probably should have, since the sun was so bright, but I was testing a new lens.
