Description

This image began, as with most of my images, as the urge to write something. This image, as with many of my images, captures something of a story that has yet to be written. As there is an image to capture the mood of something written, perhaps that bit of writing will occur; perhaps it will appear in the Writer’s Gallery, though my purchase of The Writer’s Market will—most likely—contribute to this image inspiring a professional (paid) publication. Well, one may hope. This image is a composite…the human focus has already appeared in my gallery and the other elements in this image will appear (in “naked” form) later, I suspect. This composite image, the inspiration for a story, started off as contemplations of a hole. The hole in question figures prominently (though in a muddled way) here. I’m curious to see just what story this image inspires. I’ll probably work on it this week. In the meantime, however, here is the image: an bit of layer play, a bit of human focus, a hole, and more than a few cracks. As always, thank you for viewing, reading, and commenting, and I hope you’re all having a great week.

Interesting juxtaposition of the two reference points I see this character as a ghostly tunnel walker.

The hole is brilliant! It's got edges and depth and in its nothingness it provides clarity. (Now THERE's a concept worth thinking about! LOL!) I love the composite. Excellent work, dear one!

I love how you give us these layers upon layers in your images; they seem to go off into a million different dimensions, and have countless storylines within them. Well done, Chip!

Everything in this image is a bit off except what's within the boundaries of the hole. This presents all sorts of delicious possibilities. A doorway/portal/wormhole? Is the walker looking for a way out? Or is he a resident who has just stumbled upon this circle of clarity? What dreams may come. Outstanding image and thought piece.

wow...i see so much...the hole and the human figure of course are prominent. it appears to be a structure, an open structure, perhaps under a bridge and then there appears to be things hanging??? i see a path of sunshine...so i appears to me...so mysterious...the story i'm sure will be top notch. i love your last post and scanned it and really liked the storyline although i was unable to complete the story...you know i love birds...like i love DCD...lol chills and thrills
