Description

Its a sure bet that pilots everywhere want the "next" aeroplane... In Japan in the mid-1940s one such aircraft was the Kawanishi N1K2-J Shiden. The Shiden did away with the incongruous floats of its "missing link," the N1K1, had a more powerful motor, and the wings were repositioned lower to simplify the undercarriage design. Of course, it wasn't the first time a flying boat company had built an absolute cracker of a fighter...Think... Supermarine Spitfire??? Thanks for viewing and comments. Rendered in Vue 11 Esprit Assets: AlicefromLake's Kawanishi N1K2-J (previously available in the Rendo store) The prop blurs and Kawanishi N1K1 "Kyofu" modelled in Shade 10.5

Really, nice one. I like the "symbolic" composition and dynamic. Away with the new make way for the newest new.

How true, The SB6 was an extremely successful seaplane that as you say became that icon, the Spitfire, powered by the Merlin engine which powered...the Mustang as well... Links see? If the Japanese had gotten the Shiden in the air a couple of years earlier, what would of happened..? It was a very good fighter, the equal of the Hellcat and Corsair.. Good work mate.. Rob

Thank you for mention. Well, the N1K2 was my very first aircraft model. If someone explains me how to make a poser model I will put it for free as free poser model. :-) Poser is strange compared to other programs... :-)
