A brilliant pic! My Miscanthus grass didn't flower last year, I think I cut it down too late.

Wonderful! Try to use a flash next time and then combine the picture without flash with that with flash.

Excellent close up. You don't want to brush up against one of those. It will stick to your clothes or hair on your arm if it is like the ones in my part of the world. I can't think of the name of the plant.

Hi Bernie. Thanks for your comment. When shooting flowers etc I prefer to meter the light and shoot without a flash. It would have been much easier to just light it up with a flash, but I prefer the natural light. And also I wanted bokeh as a background rather than a dark one. Cheers mate. Andrew

Wonderful. Call me weird, but I noticed the little arachnid person first, when I zoomed! And then my first thought was...oh, look: I love what this little person has done with the place." But then, I'm weird like that! I love the way this turned out. I prefer natural lighting as well, as there's a whole different ambiance to the piece, and why is it that whenever I think the word "bokeh" I invariably render that word in Cartman's voice. I guess some words are just meant to be spoken by fat, cartoon kids from South Park? This rocks!
