Description
Panicum virgatum, commonly known as Switchgrass, is a perennial warm season bunchgrass native to North America.

I simply love all sorts of 'grasses' - (let me re-phrase that! ;) I have a whole folder full of close-ups, I simply find them quite attractive, there are so many different varieties, it's mind-boggling ... Yours is so very similar to the 'purple fountain grass' I have growing on my property ... BB BTW crazy new avatar ;))
