Description

Getting a new slant on things. Captured 1/17/13, very early in the AM, somewhere around the neighborhood. As recommended in most of my postings, a ZOOM would be cool. Farvel, and have a nice day.

I'll bet that sweet cone thinks he's so BIG! LOL Great shot Harry, interesting how different things look in their perfect shadow.

I see a lot of people above agree that this is a beautiful capture. I've commented on a number of your shots of lone objects on an early-morning surface; and they never, ever get tired. The intense shadows, the wonderful early light, the intense detail of the sidewalks and lots, etc, keep them forever fresh and alive. They bristle. The pine cone is intense enough as it is, here---half in shadow, half illumined by the light---but, with its looming shadow, you have the perfect 'mate'. And, as with many others like this, I love the texture of the ground, it's always so alive in your captures. Amazing how the light in your shots runs from bleached whites to beiges to reds to yellows and even golds, depending on the minute and the locale. Here, it's an intense yellow-white. And it looks like it's really intense just off the left side of the shot...I love these shots, they're electric.
