Description
A Flood of horrific things again in the news, The Boston Bombings, and today I found that last night there had been a massive explosion in a fertilizer plant in West, Texas. People died and were injured seriously in both tragedies. Now the shock is wearing off and the reality of recovery has set in.

There are so many things happening here. The fairies wings are drooped slightly. She is sad? Probably at seeing her woods devastated by the flood. But then there is the balloon, balloons are usually happy things, but I don't feel happiness here. Maybe she didn't know of the flood and chanced upon it. This is a thought provoking image. Then of course there is the narrative. So is the image intended in a different light. Again, the balloon throws me off.

and tonight more explosives in Boston and one police officer shot and killed, what on earth is happening, me thinks that with all that's going on east and south we might better keep our eye on the west! excellent image render and sentiment!:)*5

Kinda lets you know we're all closer to "the edge" than that dear little fairy...we could be swept away at any moment. Counting my blessings every day! and btw, it's a beautifully worked image!!!!

It has, indeed, been a rather trying week. I will say that it's refreshing to see this image, especially since it's peaceful enough to actually read as something other than a flood: there's a kind of peace to it as if a fairy child simply came to a swollen river and stopped to watch all of the action. I like that a lot. It's a well crafted image. Beautiful.
