Description

After the Bear encounter I started back to the Wawona buildings, it was getting dark and I started to notice the colors in the sky. The reddish glow didn't last long so it was lucky I had moved into a more open area at just the right time. This image has been processed to reveal as much detail in the sky as possible even though this caused the highlights in the trees to turn blue - hope it is not too distracting.. I love this image! I mean, REALLY! WOW! This is one of those shots that comes along, very rarely, even if it's in a gallery full of similar shots. There's a quality of that transient sky that was captured perfectly, and the colors are amazing! This is superb, visually poetic work.
