Description
I was heading for a place called Taft Point but a lot of snow was still covering the area around Glacier Point and I could not find the main trail. I reckon I was a little east of Taft when I decided to take a short break at this spotand never got any further because after looking around I thought how can the view from Taft Point be any better!
The view is looking into Yosemite Valley 3000 feet below and across to Yosemite Falls.

Very vivid colors & detail & a fine composition. The detail & brightness of the background mountains somehow seem to make them look like they're much closer than they really are or maybe even like a flat back drop. Not a criticism, just an observation on what looks like a perceptual illusion to me...
