Description
The Palau Nacional was constructed between the years 1926 and 1929 for the 1929 International Exhibition in Barcelona & now houses the National Museum of Catalonia. This is a view of the Great Hall, which is a very large & very tall room with a beautiful domed ceiling intended for special events. I took some photos which included the upper part of this room including a portion of the dome, though the very bright light streaming in through the windows made it difficult & I wasn't entirely satisfied with the results. If anyone expresses interest, I'll post one of those tomorrow - otherwise I have only one or two more photos from Barcelona to share...

Excellent and very symmetrical.

What a marvelous architectural space, you have resting people ants on the couches. Yes, the dome, please. This is like a book with the last pages torn out OR a camera wearing a baseball hat, never seeing the ceiling. Great capture.

I agree with my missus, this is a great building.

All that beauty behind them and they sit talking of mundane things. Well done, as it tells another paragraph in the saga of mankind.
