Description
For voyaguer, auntietk & mtdana, here is a photo of the dome of the Palau Nacional in Barcelona. As I mentioned in my previous post, I wasn't happy with how the bright light coming through the window affected this shot, but I spent some time working the bright section to tone it down & this was the best I could do. In any case, some of the magnificent architectural details & frescoes can be seen here, though it pales compared to seeing it in person - which I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Barcelona. And the art museum located in this building is well worth a visit as well...

Well seen.

Great and beautiful capture. I was thinking about the climb that the artist(s) made each day to work on the dome

This is a great capture. The window is defiantly blown out. Always good to get an underexposed shot too!

There's not a thing wrong with the light. That's how it WAS, and it informs your experience of the place. (And mine as well, as I look at it.) It's nice to get even light, everything visible, yadda, yadda, but I'd much rather see what you saw! The interior of the dome, the columns, clearly are being lit from the outside. Without the "blown out" part, that light wouldn't make as much sense. I like this a lot!
