Description

For those that have trekked along, you may recall about 8 posts ago. The image titled "The other side of disassembled". At that post I was heading up in elevation on the north side of the formation, but this post I am coming down from my endeavor to get atop the massive amphitheater. I have not moved more than 30 feet (10 meters), from the last image (link below). A slight turn to the south and a marginal drop in elevation brings us to this POV. Having walked by this formation from a couple different angles already. I was pleasantly surprised by this view. Now maybe it's my vivid imagination, but I can see a facial outline with hat on head, or maybe an African woman carrying a basket on her head. Either way, it amazes me every time how some of these rock formations can be presented so radically different with just a slight change in position. On a personal note; Living in the city once again has me missing the slower paced lifestyle of Northern California. It allowed so much more time for me to enjoy all your galleries and to share some of what I view. Hope to find some balance soon and return to the galleries on a more regular basis like before. To the kind souls that leave their mark whether a comment, rating, or save the image as a fav, you are very much appreciated, thank you!!! Thank you all that viewed my last image below. thumb_2428195.jpg
