Description
The screen isn’t there anymore. It’s been ripped down. The pain continues to crackle, flake, and fall. The sun continues to rise, make its transit across the sky, and set. In so doing, it makes light and shadows: on the vacancy that was once a bug screen and on the cracked crackle of weathered paint. Another screen will occupy this place. The paint may be scraped off and re-applied. Later. Not today. Not tomorrow, and this image is all that remains of an old, warped and ripped bug screen.
