My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

As if you needed help with composition! Very good, and that mountain is a safe enough distance away not to depress me.

AWW! This is gorgeous, Tara. I love that "framing" :-)))

What beautiful framing! I love Mt Hood, I lived in Portland when I was 23, and didn't even know it was there until I'd been there a few months and suddenly the clouds cleared. I was very shocked, not knowing that we had a volcano in plain sight! This shot is absolutely lovely, that's a wonderful area for land and waterscapes!

What a stunning revelation, when looking through the window - it was a case of, taking the instant opportunity when it presented itself , I like to call it a 'perfect hole in one' ;))) ... and a big NO, I don't play golf! - but I can imagine, that what it may have felt like, immortalizing such a great view! Bellissimo Tara, BB

Absolutely beautiful framing and light! I like the way the light emphasizes the 3-dimesional frame. Wonderful eye, capture, and dedication.

That's definitely a beautiful job of framing, Tara! :-) A great shot of Mount Hood!

That's a real beauty of a shot! Aside from the POV the lighting is perfect! Well taken.. Rob

I have catching up to do, but the great thing about galleries is the fact that images are always there, to discover and re-discover and re-discover yet again. This is one such gem. I love the composition here, the natural frame, the silvery gleam of the river, that bridge, like a thread...so fine and so fragile, and yet it's a bridge and it can't be as fragile as it looks since it's a bridge and big things are supposed to go across it. Mount Hood is so nicely impressive, standing there, holding its place in the background and providing a nice anchor. This is so well seen...so fun to wander around, and the natural framing is so bold, but not overpowering. And to top it off, it's a perfect dedication.
