Description
This is another mood-capture image.
This particular one is becoming almost impossible to come by these days. So it is also a tribute to something that I feel is disappearing.
I have a few questions about this image, which I hope you, my viewers, might be able to help me with:
1) Is the pose fully readable? (Can you account for all her limbs and her motion)
2) Does the pose look/feel natural? Does it look appropriate?
3) What emotion does this image create in you.
The pose made sense in 3D and looks quite natural from most angles, but I am afraid this particular POV makes it confusing.
Please help me figure it out. And of course, any other comments or critique you might offer would be very much appreciated.
Technical stuff & credits: Carrara, Very little postwork in PS.
Lots of distorted/morphed and re-textured grass and flower objects (most are originally from HowieFarkes packages) surface-replicated on a custom-created terrain.
Simple settings in the Realistic Sky atmosphere editor, plus a flare added to the Sun object.
V4 with a bunch of mixed custom textures and morphs.
Mada's "Kenzi Outfit" with modified textures and added morphs.
Naomi's "4 Ladies Only" Carrara Dynamic Hair, reshaped and re-sampled.
Fabiana's "Artissane Bangles" jewelry and RPublishing Jewelry along with 3D Universe's Hair clip and some other accessories, all re-textured and some reshaped.
Letter prop modeled in Carrara, textured in Photpshop with partial use of Ron's Letters brushes.
UPDATE: Added SportsBaby jacket with Workout textures.
Thank you all for the wonderful comments. Based on some extremely useful critique I've updated the image to, hopefully, add some clarity to the pose. If you have additional comments for me, please send me a note, since I'm not sure the system will allow you to comment again, but I would really love to hear your opinions about the updated image. Thank you!

Well you did an excellent job!

For me, this looks like a girl who's looking at a very special letter from her boyfriend. That's the message I get. However, you're art should speak to you first. Relying on other people's opinions about what you work "says" has limits. Rely on your gut. It will always be your best critic. To 100% counter that, always ask how to improve or perform or make stuff in 3d because its a well of skills that has no end? Seek balance and you will find it! This is one of your better images! Nicely done.

I love the lighting, and the fact that you can see the letter through the envelope.

I love this! I wish I were on that nice grassy hill too. Looks peaceful. I really love how you did the envelope - so you can see the shadow of the letter. That's brilliant! And I could understand her pose right away. Another stellar piece from you - AWESOME work!
