Hello! My name is Teri and I've been around for over 69 years in various forms. I am happily married (51 years!), have two daughters and four grandchildren.
I discovered Poser 2 many years ago but didn't do much with it. In 2006 I found a copy of Poser 4 and got interested again. I was working in Poser 10 before I switched to Daz Studio in late 2017. I'm gradually getting the hang of most of it.
When not playing on the computer, I help my husband with his start-up Bio Tech business, refinish furniture, knit, crochet, and read. We grab our grandchildren every chance we get and delight in their antics.
Discovering this community has been a great source of fun and support in trying times.I am amazed at the level of talent I see in both the gallery and the products that are offered. It baffles me how little points on a screen can turn into people or trees and move. I'll always be blond I guess!
Thanks for looking.

It works! A mighty fine image for your first underwater art. There are some freebies out there somewhere that have the lights and effects present that give some interesting results too, if you do a search. But this one looks great as well! Bravo! Most excellent!

Hi Teri, Those render are more than hard to set. I think you could have a look on how to use caustics (as texture) and a sun (as light) that will render effects like you can see on the plant on the right, there : http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=2378737&user_id=671256&page=3&member&np Plus, you may have to put some atmosphere to give better effect to your light(s) that takes a while to render. About the "stripes" on your render, I suppose that there is a light(spot or else) hidden behind a 3D object or environment and wich couldn't light the scene as well... After that you can use some "bubbles" brushes, ray of light brushes as postwork... Beyond this, it's an amazing character ! Cheers.

Looks like she is having a great time with her friends. The viewer definitely gets the sense of the characters being immersed in a volume of water. The murky light adds to the effect.

I think you did a great job simulating the underwater look. :) It looks great! I think that hair is perfect for a mermaid too.
