Description

I like patterns and this World War II torpedo propeller caught my attention at a rest area, in the state of Georgia, USA, on our 1600 mile (2575 KM) trip north to New Hampshire. The best I could tell this was about 9 feet (2.743 meters) long. My 97 year old mother in law is now home and some blood thinners solved the problem of a tiny blood clot in her brain stem. Thank you for your notes and prayers. I’ll be back to commenting tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

Excellent shot of the power end, showing the contra-rotating propeller sets. Of course that prevents the torpedo from spinning opposite to the direction of only one propeller set. You don't want a spinning torpedo as it could blow its mind!

Glad to hear things have improved. Nine foot seems a bit short. Best guess would be an air-dropped variety. However, that image looks like the things I had for bunk mates several times. I'm going to guess an oldWW2 Mk 14 or similar Cold War model.
