Vue8Frontier/Photoshop
More work with clouds in the Atmo Editor,trying to create the look of heavy storm clouds as they unleash their load. Ship is the Commando from Cornucopia3D,with lights and engine flares added in Photoshop. One infinite terrain creates the landscape. A preset "Threatening" atmosphere was modified in all the settings,with additional turbulence and rotation settings for the clouds.In Photoshop I also added a lightning brush from Obsidian Dawn(with additional motion blur),and also scanned in hand-drawn falling rain,which was then composited into the image and blurred. Finally I added my signature and resizing. Thanks for taking the time to view,and for any comments!

There is nothing like that first instant of a thunderstorm - a stillness and hush falls over the landscape beneath the looming clouds, the sweeping absence of all those tiny sounds of life which infuse the world around us, the moment seems suspended under a tension one can feel with ones entire being - then in a rush the fury is unleashed. You have captured all of that here my friend. There is a textural quality to the image evocative of a water-color painting, and beneath those clouds the precise render of butte, mesa, and stony spire grabs you and puts you in the scene. All your hard work really shows. Absolutely Spectacular. 5+
