Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

This looks like the perfect place to hang out and chill...and get a drink at the local saloon. We need saloons now, I mean, real saloons and not bars: I want floozies and piano-players, and guys playing poker while smoking cigars...with their horses outside. Eh, but we're a bit too modern for that. Oh well...at least I can dream. I like this photo a lot; it has the nice "Sunday stroll" vibe to it.

Very nice work.

Stellar capture of the main street of the booming metropolis of Groveland, Maz. I like small towns like this, where everyone knows your name and the law consists of one sheriff and his/her deputy.

Its amazing that you got this shot without any people? I bet either they were all behind you or its that time of day when everyone is indoors. I remember when our town use to be like this. Now days, we have to lock our doors.... The Good Ole Days. Aloha

That's a small-town vibe, all right. I've been seeing a few of these along the way! :)
