Description
Yosemite is probably most famous for Half Dome, but El Cap is another granite monolith that dwarfs everything else around it. The day I was there, two people were scaling the rock, but they were such tiny specks I could barely see them They're not in this foto, though you probably couldn't see them anyway!!

Big. Impressive. Big. These have such a nice Ansel Adams feel to them and I really like the sharp contrasts of the rock faces. Such a fitting name for that formation too. El Capitan is not a name to be bestowed lightly and I'd expect nothing less than a huge thing like that, with a name like...well...El Capitan! Excellent shots!

I don't know whether I enjoyed scaling El Cap or Half Dome the best...........just kidding I've done neither! I have been several times though and loved it!

Stellar capture of the big guy, Maz. El Capitan is one huge canyon, that's for sure. There is also an El Capitan Theater in Hollywood, plus a high school somewhere or other with that name.
