Description
A clearer image of the Royal Navy ' Black Cat ' Lynx, featured in my 'A Black Cat ( For Rob)' post. This one was taken last year at Waddington.
Somebody asked me about my location when taking the 'A Black Cat' image. I was on the promenade, beside Seacombe Ferry, 'shooting' across the River Mersey. Using Google Earths measuring utility, the distance between me and the helicopter was a shade under 3/4 of a mile, hand held, and I now like it even more :-)
The recent BOA70 event has led to the staff at 'The Plant' asking if we can do a commemorative build....no way I'd refuse that.....watch this space.

Great shot and hand held too mate! I take it this was a compact camera? If so, (or either way) can you allude as to what - and indeed the settings you used. That is always interesting data to digest (for me anyway!) As for the aircraft - I am sure "The Plant" will get a number of orders should the "Proto" be built!

Excellent shot!

Well I was expecting to see a humours scene with Hayley Mills and Dean Jones but this is even better lol. Cool shot mate :)

Ha! I was suspecting a darned cat photo (NOT of the feline sort) when I saw the title. From your earlier post I also suspected this would be from another display with better weather and a closer fly-by. Interesting aircraft - lots of stuff on its nose (ir, other sensors, I assume). Looking at the door I wonder how big it is and how many passengers it can take. This is a nice, clear photo. Thanks for posting it as a follow-up to the BoA photo. Keep 'em comin'! And I'll keep my eyes peeled for anything new coming out of the plant! :-)

Fine shot; and I can see why you wanted to get a capture of that wonderful combat art on its side.

Gee, have they attached enough bits and bods to it yet, I'm sure I can see a clear area. Great piece of um , well not nose art but pretty awesome art all the same.
