Greetings to the people of Earth.
I've always wanted to say that! Now that I did, I can now get on with other things.
I'm a science fiction writer (not famous yet) born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. I've lived in the Czech Republic and Germany, and though I am currently back in Chicago, much of my heart remains in the Czech Republic. Maybe it's the beer. Or the bread. I hope to live in Moscow soon, as a big portion of my heart already resides there. I've had an interest in science fiction since an early age and will probably maintain that interest for the rest of my life. I love SF, and anything else that embraces the spirit of discovery...or anything that chafes against the arbitrary boundaries of "conformity."Â
I discovered Renderosity a couple of years back when I was browsing the internet, looking for cool images to spark my imagination during a period of writer's block. It wasn't a serious block, but I needed something to make me ask the sorts of questions that I always ask before settling down to craft a short story or novella. Since that time, I've written quite a lot and I've begun to post photographs and other visual works that I created here...partially because I love the Renderosity community in general, and partially because the images and text-snippets that I have contributed here are something of an ongoing journal. I'm incredibly lazy when it comes to journal keeping, and so posting picures of particular significance actually helps me to remember the things I want to remembe, without having to eat into my fiction writing time by writing non fiction. Well, at least that's my excuse and I am sticking with it.
I entered into the field of photography totally by accident; I'd always been interested in capturing small stories, but it wasn't until my journey to Europe that I began to consciously seek out tableaus that imply stories in progress. As a result of that, my writing is growing in unexpected directions, and I look forward to becoming more and more active here, and in other artistic/publishing fields.
For those looking at my gallery, enjoy it and feel free to leave comments and sitemail! Good day to all!

It's not a bad drawing, who ever did it has some bit of talent. However, what makes me curious is the why of it. Why did someone feel the need to sit in some back alley and draw that. The story has to be interesting.

Interesting, except he got the cricket's name wrong,...it's Jiminy.

Treasureprints took the words out of my mouth! Why go to all that trouble and then get the name wrong!!!!!!

I suppose Pinocchio must nose that he's lying - again. I love circular logic it makes me dizzy. This reminds me of a scene from the game Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. It's not too big a stretch to envision this to be the rear entrance to 'The Asp Hole' in Hollywood. It's in this graffiti cluttered alley space that the 'hero' of the game is suddenly attacked by a torch wielding vampire hunter shouting politely, "Hey! Don't move!". Indeed, graffiti artists blissfully continue to work with their spray paint while this medieval mayhem erupts around them. All great fun.

Superb capture my friend. God bless.

Of course he's a real artist. He's been in show business for 75 years. I imagine this is a play on 'I'm a real boy." Nice image. You do find the most interesting things.

That's a fantastic find! Not only the name is wrong but the mixed capitals and lower case always make me cringe a bit, but maybe that's why I am not an artist of the drawing type, LOL!

Great find!

HA! That is a wonderful find and shot, but usually Pinocchio gets a long nose if he is lying, so I am not sure we should trust. he actually IS a real Artist, unless he painted that himself :) Love this shot :)

A real Chip-type find, for sure! Well captured, and I'll be you're still trying to wrap your mind around the circumstances of its existence!

oh but there HAS to be a story here! but will you ever find it? and if you do, of course you'll share it, right? what a wildly wonderful find this is. but why is it buried in a back alley where no one (except you) will ever see it? just one of a thousand questions that pop in my head while looking at this. but wait, it is being seen by many people, isn't it?

A multi-colored stencil requires work and skill. The clean processing of the template suggests that the artist has experience with it. Pinocchio is a loveable guy and we know his talent. Therefore, it seems to me the place where the stencil is, well chosen by the artist. Funny work and well discovered!!
