recently when I was walking my dogs, suddenly there was the largest Pitt Bull dog I have ever seen suddenly came up to my dogs.it was not being aggressive but silly Bodie wanted to be aggressive. I gently slapped his rump with the leash to get his attention because the Pitt Bull could easily kill him. the Pitt just wanted to be friendly and be petted. anyway it started following Eve,Bodie, and myself. my neighbors was in their driveway along with their Dachshund which is very aggressive. I told Raul to get his dog just in case the Pitt did not like him. while he was there, I got my dogs in the yard. this Pitt had to way around 100 pounds about 25 pounds more than Eve

Scary dogs, around my area they are kept under close watch. Too many bad outcomes. The only dog i believe would cause fear in a pit bull is the Tibetan Mastiff. Now these are big dogs and not too lovable. Excellent capture, Richard!!!!!

Illegal in Australia to, I have mixed feelings about dogs like this, while I believe a dogs personality is largely formed by environment. I believe dogs are bred for specific traits and in fact this may be the perfect breed for hunting bears. I fear it may be a little like allowing a tiger free reign of a neighbourhood. It really is just a matter of time before it does what it was bred for. Despite over 5000 dog attacks in NSW last year the animal that causes the most deaths in Australia, is still quite strangely the horse.

A fantastic profile portrait Richard - I'm glad that he doesn't live next door to me! :>)

oh my...my rant...if ever a species should be destroyed I believe it to be this one. they are overly aggressive and time and time again turn on their own owners...i'm not a big fan of 'man's best friend' mainly because of these...I have had dogs and Chinese shar pei won my hearts then they died and no more doggies for me...the birds are my companions now...lol chills and thrills

That looks like a wonderful, friendly dog. It saddens me to read some of the ignorant comments. If it's not okay to judge humans by their race (which it's not), why do we think it's okay to judge dogs that way?

Looks like there is some sort of other Bull breed in there too. Lovely capture!!

It's sad, because at one time they were known as 'nanny dog'. People have ruined the breed - it's not their fault. Your shot shows his power.
