Description

J.D. ('the Wolfman') lived between El Centro and Mexicali. There was 15 miles difference between the two cities. Weylin was tired and wanted to sleep, so they left him at J.D.'s place with 'Lucky' - J.D.'s pet wolf. The boys headed north on the highway and stopped just outside of El Centro at a place called 'Sonora Spiritworks'. J.D. had called ahead to make sure the owner - an old friend - was still there. He said he'd wait, knowing it wouldn't take long. It was Monday and the Spiritworks was closed, but Alejandro was there doing some cleaning up around the place and watering the plants that needed it. Alejandro Estrella was a Yaqui who had moved from Arizona to El Centro as a young boy. Naturally of a mystical bent, it was encouraged by his parents and even moreso by the woman who would become his wife. Together, they bought this little house and opened Spiritworks. People from south of the border as well as El Centro and even further away came there, because they had things you couldn't find anywhere else. J.D. would often procure 'special requests' from long-time clients for them of things that were not necessarily supposed to be sold. All parties went away happy. Alejandro mostly did the business end of it, while his wife Miranda was the one who ran the shop, did the ordering and the palm, card and crystal ball readings. Miranda had a reputation for being very accurate with her readings and a powerful bruja. J.D. Introduced Clay to Alejandro. "Remember I told you I had a brother. Heh! You didn't believe me - so here he is." "I never said I didn't believe you. I said you'd have to bring him one day or I would think you were telling tales," Alejandro laughed. "Nice to meet you, Clay. This one, he talks about his admiration for you many times." Clay seemed surprised by this. "It is true! I only say that to make him bring you one day. And you, you must be Seth. J.D. says you need to speak with us?" "Yes. Perhaps you can help us or give us some ideas about this problem we have," Seth answered. "I'd sooner do it somewhere more private though." "Come to our house then! It's not far. I walked but if J.D. will give me a ride, I would appreciate it!" "Hop on, man." "Did you happen to bring...?" "Does the Pope wear a dress?" J.D. chuckled as Alejandro climbed on the back of his bike. "Follow me, bros!" ***** I decided I'm not smooshing this down. You'll get the other part tomorrow night. Another scene full of many different props. The scenery is actually two different cycloramas 'cleverly' put together. House is Regency Cottage (DAZ) retextured by me for a SW look. J.D.'s vest is M4 Pirate vest (DAZ) retextured by me (flying Ace of Spades). Jeans are all from Smay's "Bad Guy" - two with shader changes. Seth's shirt is also from "Bad Guy" and retextured for a 'Hawaiian look'. "Chopper" bike was in RMP but no longer - all retextured by me. All hair is Joanna's: Mitchell, Kouros, Eirene and Yannis (left to right). All figures by me - Seth and Clay @ YURDigital. Altayr (Alejandro) and Wulf (WIPs). Had this house forever and never used it. Signage by me in PShop. That is all :) ***** Thanks for your visits and comments dear friends! Have a good Monday and smile :) Ray

I can appreciate the effort that goes into these complex scenes with lots of figures and props. I did a scene once with a fourteen-piece Big Band that took hours...I had to make the dancers out of 2-d images on planes, or I'd never have been able to pose anything...

Great scene and introduction. I really like that you used a Hawaiian shirt, it seems to lend to the realism of the time and place. Excellent sky.
