Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Based on the story that I'm currently writing I have to wonder what's behind you in that tunnel? Not that it matters: I like what you're showing in front and the tunnel arch makes such a nice frame for this shot. I get the feeling that I'm inside of something ancient and looking out at a world that's renewed and largely undiscovered. I really like that feeling. I love this shot for evoking that, and no, I'm not gonna ask who (or what) is back in the unphotographed reaches of this tunnel. Although, knowing tunnels I've been in, there's probably graffiti in there, and a few joggers doing the jogger thing with their iPods strapped to those iPod straps on their biceps. Or not.

Enchanting scene and yes, just a little mysterious feeling to it. Nicely done. :)

I love this Marilyn. I have NEVER walked through such a tunnel to get to a beach in my entire life!

I haven't been there, but it's certainly on my list! This makes it even more compelling. Great framing!

Works good having its own picture frame. Aloha
