Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Oh, I know exactly what that is, it's a Blue Climber. Well, since I don't know diddly squat about flowers, don't take my word for it, because my word is probably very different/i> from the official word on the subject. Well, whatever this is, I like it. The color is so brilliant and it's not overpowering, which is nice. It looks vaguely like something I might have seen before, but I can't be sure. Really nice details!

It looks like a Clementis to me. You captured it very well. Thanks for sharing the beauty you see.

Definitely a Clematis and if all the 'blues' were like this the world would be a better place!

This is Clematis for sure. Love that color, mine is more purple. This would end the 'blues' for anyone!

'A Symphony in Blue' or 'Blue Bayou' - these thoughts just came to mind, trying to name this flower ? ... when it leaped right out of my monitor to say hello! anyway, it would have to be 'Blue Heaven on Earth' ... a stunning and irresistible specimen, BB

Clematis indeed, and I do love these. Excellent capture!

Oh yes, Clematis, for sure. I'd know it anywhere. Otherwise, lovely shades of blue in this super snap of the comely bloom, Marilyn.

i thought this was gonna be another blues festival shot (lol---one can NEVER trust your titles!) But instead it's a real blue flower. But what makes this special is, first, your composition and the way the light cuts across it, almost like it's glass; and, second, your postwork, which makes it feel almost like it's made of silk, or some fabric. It's luminous like panes of stained glass. And the planes of light, as well as the lighter blues on the right, make it seem like a glass design or made from some kind of glassy-stone. Beautiful. ANd if others say "clematis", you won't hear an argument from me, lol! I know exactly 6 flower names, and I have trouble remembering those. (And I know NO LATIN names. I can make them up---that's a florilius anthocampum. Sound legitimate?) Another Marilyn shot, new, beautiful and a real surprise for the eyes. Whoosh!
