it was an early am storm that had almost passed over. I was inside my suv because it was raining at the time
I am chicken to push the envelope standing out in harm's way. my brother was almost killed as a teenager standing inside our house looking a a storm next to a metal screen door when lightning struck a power post traveling down the power wires to the house's meter next to the door

Very nice! I live for the monsoon storms so I can get lightning shots. I am amazed you captured this from inside the car. I have to setup my tripod and do it with long time exposures and small apertures on the front porch.
